Won Second Place in the 2022 St Pete Cupcake Contest

St Petersburg, FL

I started baking with my mom at a young age. It was that quality time together that helped with my passion for sweets. After years of baking for people for fun, my mom recommended leaving accounting and going to culinary school. “What a good idea,” was my response, my parents had just retired to Las Vegas and they had just opened a school. So with their support, I was lucky enough to be a part of one of the first groups of students at Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas and be classically trained by a French pastry chef.

At the end of my training, we found out my mom had cancer. Sadly, she passed away very quickly afterwards. I ended up going back into the accounting field to help my dad through those tougher times. I still baked for people and events through the years. I realized it truly is a passion of mine. After my dad passed away 15 years after my mom, I decided to start fresh. I sold my house and boxed up my life to move across the country to Florida and the beach.

I enjoy traveling and learning where our favorite dishes came from, how they came about and the areas they were invented in.
